A Funeral Service will be celebrated Tuesday, November 4, 2014 at 1:00 pm at First United Methodist Church in Lafayette for Anne Carline Darnall, 87, who passed away Friday, October 31, 2014 at home surrounded by her family.

Visitation will be observed on Tuesday, November 4, 2014 from 9:00 am to 1:00 pm at First United Methodist Church in Lafayette.

Interment will follow in Lafayette Memorial Park in Lafayette.

Reverend Mark Benge, Sr., Senior Pastor of First United Methodist Church in Lafayette, will officiate.

Anne leaves to cherish her memory, one daughter, Melanie Ann Newton and her husband, Ron of Flower Mound, TX; three sons, Eugene H. Darnall, III and his wife, Kathy, Clayton E. Darnall and his wife, Lynette and Robert Charles Darnall and his wife, Jeanne, all of Lafayette, LA; eleven grandchildren, Jennifer Newton of Riverside, CA, John and Heather Newton, of Dallas, TX and Eugene H. Darnall, IV, Kate Darnall, Robert C. Darnall, Jr., Michael Darnall, Bryce Darnall, Annie Darnall, Christopher Darnall and Grace Darnall, all of Lafayette, LA; one brother, Wallace Carline of Morgan City, LA and her family friend, Lorita Pradier.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Eugene Harris Darnall, Jr.; her infant grandson, Mark Darnall; six brothers and three sisters.

Pallbearers are John Newton, Eugene Darnall, IV, Bryce Darnall, Robert Darnall, Jr., Michael Darnall and Christopher Darnall.

Anne and Eugene came to Lafayette in 1946 to attend SLI and remained there for their entire 63 years of marriage. She was active in her church, children’s schools and volunteered in the community during her years in Lafayette. Her most cherished time as a volunteer came through her participation in the organization of United Christian Outreach. Anne was one of the organizers and remained on the board as the Treasurer, until her death. She and her husband were both very active in the organization for over 30 years.
