The Life of Harold R. Neal
Funeral services for Harold R. "Abe" Neal, age 77, of Mentor will be 10:00 a.m. Monday, September 8, at Davis-Babcock Funeral Home, Willoughby.
Mr. Neal passed away Thursday, September 4, 2014, at Hillcrest Hospital. He was born February 28, 1937, in Murray City, Ohio.
Mr. Neal was a retired machinist at Worthington Precision Metal. Prior to that he worked for Addressograph Multigraph from 1957-1983. He was a member of Willoughby Lodge 302 for 51 years. He enjoyed hometown history, classic cars, was an avid Cleveland Browns and Indians fan, and truly loved spending time with his family.
Survivors include his wife, Patricia (Thompson) of 56 years; sons, Mark (Nancy) Neal of Concord Twp., Michael Neal of Painesville, and Tim (Marybeth) Neal of Willoughby; grandchildren, Kelly, Kasey, Kenneth (Rachel), Rebecca, Leland, Lauren, Andrew, Lisa, Brittany, and Derek; great-grandchildren, Kenny, Mason and Preston; sister, Alice "Daisy" (Frank) Forrester of The Plains, OH; brother, Delmar "Pickett" Neal of Murray City, OH; and many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Charles R. and Edith M. Neal; siblings, Wilma, Millard "Nim", Myrtle, Leila "Jill", Rolland "Jack", Ruth "Toots", and Ralph; and granddaughter, Anna.
Family will receive friends 2 to 6 p.m. Sunday, Sept. 7, at the funeral home. Burial will be in Western Reserve Memorial Gardens, Chester Twp.
