The Life of Robert Satterfield
COLUMBIANA - Robert Satterfield, 76, of East Park Ave., passed away at 8:14 a.m., Thursday, Sept. 4, 2014, at Parkside Health Care Center in Columbiana, following a recent illness.
Mr. Satterfield was born Dec. 5, 1937, in Berea, Ky., a son of the late Carlos and Sadie (Lamb) Satterfield.
Robert worked as a fork lift operator at National Refractory for more than 30 years until he retired in 1998. He was also an avid horseman.
He is survived by his sons, Robert Carl Satterfield of Virginia, twins Jason Satterfield of Virginia and Joe (Lisa) Satterfield of Berea, and Steve (Karen) Satterfield of Lisbon; daughter Trena (Tim Hackney) Colgrove of East Liverpool; brothers Chester (Liz) Satterfield of Berea and Jerry Lee Satterfield of Big Hill, Ky.; sisters Mandy (Glendon) Alexander of Richmond, Ky., Mammie Adams and Bertha Croucher, both of Berea, and Betty (the late Don) Marshall of Big Hill; sister-in-law Irene Satterfield also of Big Hill; 15 grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren and 12 great-great-grandchildren.
Mr. Satterfield was preceded in death by his wife, Norita Swartz Satterfield; brothers Lester, William and Ted Satterfield; and sister May Woodson.
Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 6, 2014, at the Eells-Leggett-Stauffer Funeral Home in Lisbon.
Private burial will take place Monday at Green Haven Memorial Gardens, Canfield.
The family will receive friends from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m., Saturday at the funeral home.
