The Life of ELLEN ELLIS DAVIDSON
Ellen Margaret Ellis Davidson, was born July 8, 1914, in Enterprise, Iowa, to Guiles and Sara Ellis. She died August 31, 2014, in Ankeny, Iowa at the age of 100 years.
She grew up in Granger, Iowa and worked as a hairdresser and housekeeper unitl she married Charles Davidson. She and Charles lived in the greater Des Moines area their entire lives. She was a loving mother who enjoyed being at home with her family.
Ellen is survived by her sons, William Davidson of Des Moines; and Thomas Davidson of Ankeny; her daughter, Jean Thomas of Marion, Iowa and numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, and husband, Charles Davidson.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Friday, September 5, 2014, at Hamilton’s near Highland Memory Gardens, 121 NW 60th Ave., Des Moines, with burial to follow at Highland Memory Gardens Cemetery. The family will receive visitors from 1 to 2 p.m., prior to service time at the funeral home.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the family to be designated to Mercy Cancer Center, in loving memory of Ellen.
