Delores, age 66, passed away surrounded by her family on September 7, 2014 at Taylor House, after a long battle with liver cirrhosis. A graveside service will be at 2 p.m., Thursday, September 11 at Highland Memory Gardens.
Delores Irene, the daughter of David and Violet (Fraaken) Hartman, was born January 5, 1948 in Des Moines. She worked for the United States Postal Service for 35 years. Delores was great at caring for her family. She enjoyed garage sales, Prairie Meadows, and sitting outside on her porch.
Delores is survived by her daughters: Laura (Aaron) Mohler and Kris (James) Batye; grandchildren: Steven Boylan, David Boylan, Adrian Batye, Nikki Boylan, and Natalie Batye; great-grandchildren, Brooklyn Boylan and Lacianna Boylan; siblings: Wayne Hartman, Dale Hartman, Ronald Hartman, Sally Leonard, and Diane Hartman; and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; two sisters, Nancy Baker and Darlene McIntosh; brother-in-law, Steve McIntosh; and niece, Tina Bunch.
