rew "Duke" Rininger 1922 - 2014 | Obituary | Condolences Duane Andrew "Duke" Rininger Obituary Duane "Duke" Andrew Rininger Duane "Duke" Andrew Rininger, of Cuyahoga Falls, died August 15, 2014 due to complications from a fall. He was born in Copley, Ohio on October 28, 1922 and was a 1940 graduate of North High School in Akron. During World War II Duke served in the U.S. Navy as a Machinist Mate on the PT boat "Barfly," PT256. He retired from Goodyear after 45 years of service in 1985. Duke is and will forever be greatly missed by his wife of 63 years, Toni; sons, Jeff (Celeste) and David (Mary); sister, Lorna Boughman; grandsons, Scott and Bryan (Yvonne); great granddaughter, Hailey; and many nieces and nephews. Cremation has taken place. A memorial service will be held on Friday, August 22, 2014, 2 p.m., at Adams Mason Funeral Home (791 E. Market Street, Akron). In lieu of flowers, purchase a fifth of Cardhu single malt scotch or your favorite portable beverage and drink a toast to Duke!
