The Life of BEVERLY JOAN HALLER
Joan Haller, 86, was born February 17, 1928, to Edward and Irene McWilliams in Des Moines, Iowa. She passed away at Taylor House Hospice in Des Moines on August 10, 2014.
Joan graduated from North High School and attended Drake University. She was a member of Highland Park Christian Church in Des Moines. She was employed by Banker’s Life before devoting her life to her home and family.
Joan is survived by her husband of 67 years, Richard; children, Gail (Tom) Gish and Mark (Cassandra) Haller; grandchildren, Kari, Daniel, Andrew, Natalie, Shelbi, Jamison, Hailey, and Kenidi; 11 great-grandchildren; numerous step grandchildren and step great-grandchildren; sister, Jean (Earl) Sutton; as well as many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; brother, Edward McWilliams Jr.; and her sister, Joy Colson.
Visitation will be held at Hamilton’s near Highland Memory Gardens, 121 NW 60th Avenue on Thursday evening from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. Graveside services will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Friday, August 15, 2014, at Highland Memory Gardens Cemetery, 1 NE 60th Avenue.
