The Life of Agnes I Stetson
WEATHERSFIELD TOWNSHIP – Agnes I. Stetson, 84, passed away Friday, Aug. 8, 2014, at Northside Medical Center.
Agnes was born Feb. 19, 1930, in Niles, the daughter of the late Albert and Elsie Keck Madison.
Agnes had previously worked for Gray’s Drugstore in the Liberty Plaza, but for most of her life, she devoted herself to her family and was a loving wife, mother and grandmother.
She was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church in Niles and loved gardening, especially her rose garden.
She is survived by her husband, Chester E., whom she married Oct. 28, 1951; children Suzanne Delaney of Girard, Belinda (Richard) Jacobson of Austintown, Anthony (Mary Ann) Stetson Sr. of Ravenna and Patricia (David) Wright of Girard; sister Marybelle Kish of Liberty Township; son-in-law Victor Delaney; grandchildren Sandy, Belinda, Andy, Trisha, Tony, Debbie, Leslie, Laura and Michael; three great-grandsons; and four great-granddaughters.
She was preceded in death by her sisters, Viola Stumph, Gertrude Ellis and Helen Rawlings; brother Leroy Madison; and a great-great-grandson.
Funeral services will be held Monday, Aug. 11, at 1 p.m. at the Blackstone Funeral Home in Girard.
The family will receive relatives and friends on Monday from 11 a.m. until the time of service.
Agnes will be laid to rest at Greenhaven Memorial Gardens.
