The Life of Pagona Bakoussis Patsis

Pagona Patsis, age 93, a longtime Ansonia resident currently of Derby and widow of Kanellos Patsis, entered into eternal rest July 20. She was born April 23, 1921 in Piraeus, Greece, daughter of the late Dionysios and Sotiria Bakoussis. She was a longtime member of the Holy Trinity Greek Orthodox Church in Ansonia. She leaves to cherish her memory her son Dan Patsis of Brooklyn, N.Y. & wife Mary Anne, grandson Danny Patsis & granddaughter Alexandra Patsis, both of Brooklyn; 2 grandsons and a granddaughter in Greece; 2 brothers John & George Bakoussis, both of Greece; nephew Kostas Kachoulas of Ansonia, his wife Karen, and grandnieces Alexandra, Christiana, and Nicole; nephew Dennis Bakoussis of Ansonia, his wife Despina and their two children Kerri and Maria; and niece Sissy Gardell of Long Island, her husband Matthew and two children Matthew and Michael. She was predeceased by her daughter Alexandra Papacharalambous and two sisters Zoe Kachoulas and Loula Bakoussis. Friends may call on Wednesday, July 23 from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at The Jenkins King & Malerba Funeral Home, 12 Franklin St. Ansonia, CT. Funeral services will be held on Thursday, 10:00 a.m. at St. Barbara Greek Orthodox Church in Orange. Burial will follow in Pine Grove Cemetery in Ansonia.
