The Life of DELORIS JOANN FENTON
Deloris Joanne Fenton, 81, passed away surrounded by her family at Mercy Hospice in Johnston on Wednesday, July 2, 2014.
Deloris was born October 13, 1932 to Edward and Lela Bullock in Stratford and married LeRoy Fenton on September 17, 1954. She was a long time member of Our Saviour Lutheran Church and retired from the Des Moines Public Schools after 32 years of service. Deloris enjoyed going to garage sales, her grandchildren, and coffee with her friends and reading.
Deloris is survived by her sons, Robert (Carol), Roger (Lisa) and Ronald (Bessie); grandchildren; Tyler, Derek, Roger Jr (Jaime), Chad, Joshua, Travis, Angie, and Sarah; great-grandchildren; Madison and Parker; sister, Marjorie Smith; and a host of beloved family and friends.
She was preceded in death by her husband, LeRoy in 2007; two great-grandchildren and three sisters.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, July 7, 2014 at Our Saviour Lutheran Church, 4003 2nd Avenue. The family will greet friends Sunday from 4:00 – 6:00 p.m. at Hamilton’s near Highland Memory Gardens, 121 NW 60th Avenue.
Memorial contributions may be directed to Mercy Hospice or Our Saviour Lutheran Church in loving memory of Deloris.
