The Life of ESTHER BELLE VALLEJO
Esther Vallejo, 87, passed away Wednesday, July 2, 2014. She was born June 17, 1927 to Charles and Eva Jackson in Des Moines, Iowa. Esther lived in the house that her parents built until the time of her death.
Esther retired from Principal Financial. She was a proud East High Alumni and loved spending time with her grandchildren.
She is survived by her daughters, Michelle (Jeff) Smith and Patti Crouse; grandchildren, Andrew and Toni Crouse, Lindsey and Grant Smith. Esther was preceded in death by her husband of over 30 years, Felix; parents; brothers, Roy, Charles and Raymond; and 2 sisters in infancy.
Visitation will be Sunday, July 6, 2014 from 1 to 4 p.m. at Hamilton’s Funeral Home, 605 Lyon Street in Des Moines. Funeral services will be held on Monday, July 7th at 10:30 a.m. at Easton Place United Methodist Church, 2412 Easton Boulevard in Des Moines. Burial will be at Highland Memory Gardens Cemetery.
Memorial Contributions may be directed to either St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital or Easton Place United Methodist Church in loving memory of Esther.
