The Life of ROBERT LEE FAIRMAN

Robert L. Fairman, 87, was born February 16, 1927, to John and Louella Fairman in Council Bluff, Iowa. He passed away in Des Moines on June 8, 2014, from complications of Alzheimer’s.

Robert served in the United States Navy during WWII. He owned and operated B&N Upholstery and had a love for dogs.

Robert is survived by his children, Michael (Carol) Fairman, Robert D. Fairman, Sue (Jim) Smith, Scot (Kris) Bueford-Fairman, and Dennis J. Fairman; 9 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his wife, Norma Fairman; son, Jeffrey Fairman; an infant daughter; brother, Edward Fairman, and sister, Louisa Berggren.

Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Friday, June 13, 2014, at Hamilton’s near Highland Memory Gardens, 121 NW 60th Avenue, with burial to follow at Highland Memory Gardens Cemetery. The family will receive visitors one hour prior to service time at the funeral home.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Animal Rescue League or the Alzheimer’s Association in loving memory of Robert.
