Nancy J. Hood passed away Saturday May, 17, 2014 at Kavanaugh house on 56th street. Graveside services will be held 1:30 pm Wednesday May 21, 2014 at Highland Memory Gardens Cemetery Visitation will be from 3-4 p.m. Tuesday May 20, 2014 at the Dunn''s Funeral home on Grand Ave.
Nancy was born in Des Moines on April 3, 1948, and worked for many years in the City Assessor department. Nancy loved animals, and gardening, and the outdoors.
She is survived by her best friend and companion Bud Garmon. Memorial contributions may be directed to the Animal Rescue League of Iowa.
