The Life of DEBRA KAY HARTZER

Debra K. Hartzer, 48, passed away Wednesday, April 30, 2014 at her home in Michigan.

Debra was born January 19, 1966 in Parris Island, South Carolina. She was a Master Gardener. Debra was a docent at Frederik Meijer Gardens in Grand Rapids, Michigan. She also volunteered at the MSU hotline doing plant diagnostics.

Her education included Second City in Chicago and the Annoyance Comedy School where she studied comedic writing. She also attended WKG TV Video Electronic College.

Debra was also a photographer. She was very artistic and skilled in manipulation of light.

Debra obtained friends throughout world through social media based on her charisma, wit and intelligence.

Debra is survived by her loving husband, Mark; mother, Mary Marinaro; father, Dominic (Pearl) Marinaro; brother, Tommy Marinaro; step-brother, James (Lori) Cronin; nephew, Justin Hartzer; niece, Jena Anderson; and beloved dogs, Bob and Trouble. She was preceded in death by her grandparents.

The family will greet friends Tuesday, May 6, 2014 from 12 to 2 p.m. with a Celebration of Life at 2 p.m. at Hamilton’s Southtown Funeral Home, 5400 SW 9th Street. Burial will follow at Highland Memory Gardens Cemetery.
