The Life of MARY JEAN MAUK
Mary Mauk passed away on Saturday, April 26, 2014. A funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, April 30, 2014, preceded by visitation from 9:00 to 11:00 a.m., at Union Park Baptist Church, East 9th and Arthur Streets, Des Moines.
Mary Jean (Jordan) Mauk was born March 12, 1930, in Des Moines, IA. She is survived by her three sons, Marty Mauk of Des Moines, Alan Mauk of Montana, and Brett Mauk of Chicago, IL, two grandchildren, and four great-grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her husband, Merlin Mauk, her parents, Neal and Carolyn Jordan, and her two brothers, Edwin Jordan and Laverne Jordan.
Mary was a 1948 graduate of East High School and a former member of the Des Moines Sister City Organization. She enjoyed traveling, sports, and antiques. Memorials are asked to be given to Union Park Baptist Church.>>
