The Life of MAUREEN DOROTHY WILLIS
Maureen Willis, 72, was born September 27, 1941, in Minneapolis, the daughter of Francis and Irene Hall. She passed away March 23, 2014, at her home in Urbandale.
Maureen grew up in Davenport where she graduated from Assumption High School in 1959. She moved to Urbandale in 1983 and was a member at Life Church. She retired from Northwestern Bell after 33 years of service.
Maureen enjoyed attending flea markets and auctions, playing Bridge, and baking. She treasured her family and loved spoiling her grandchildren any opportunity she had.
Maureen is survived by her children, Evelyn (Denny) Fedosa and Jay (Shelly) Willis; stepchildren, Jeff Willis, Brenda Willis and Shelley Horn; 10 grandchildren and one great-grandson; as well as her brother, Pat (Patricia) Hall; and stepbrother, Ron Deardoff. She was preceded in death by her parents and brother, Harry Hall.
Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Friday, March 28, 2014, at Life Church, 4520 Madison Ave., with burial to follow at Highland Memory Gardens Cemetery. The family will greet friends Thursday evening from 5 to 8 p.m. at the church.
