NILES - Mabel Elizabeth Roth Rose, 96, of Niles, died at 11:50 p.m. Sunday, March 9, 2014, at Vista at the Ridge nursing home in Mineral Ridge.

She was born May 16, 1917, in Buffalo, N.Y., the daughter of John and Maybell Pattison Rose.

Mabel worked as a cook at McDonald Steel, Howland Local Schools and Servamation at Packard Electric.

Mabel was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church in Niles and enjoyed ceramics and crocheting.

Her former husband, Paul Roth, whom she married in 1938, died in 1994.

She will be deeply missed by two daughters, Joan Roth (Robert) Glodde of Florida and Dianna (Art) White of Howland; seven grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; and three great-great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by two brothers, Robert and John; and her sister, Eleanor.

Friends may call 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday and 10 to 11 a.m. Friday at the Joseph Rossi and Sons Funeral Home in Niles, where there will be an 11 a.m. funeral service Friday officiated by Pastor David Conrad.

Burial will be in Greenhaven Memorial Gardens in Canfield
