The Life of ROBERT SHEPHERD
Robert Shepherd, 82, was born November 24, 1931, in city Des Moines, IA, the son of John and Loretta (Freeland). He passed away February 27, 2014, at Unity Point Des Moines Lutheran.
Robert loved the outdoors. He was an avid hunter, fisherman and loved mushroom hunting. He worked at Allied Construction until his retirement in 2000.
Robert is survived by his wife Pat of 65 years; children Steven (Bonnie), Bobby, and Curtis (Tammy); grandchildren, Robbie, Casey, Cody, Colton, and Hunter, and great-grandchildren, Robyn, Tiffani, Kaiden, and Gabby. He was preceded in death by his daughter, Kimberly Shepherd.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Wednesday, March 5, 2014 at Hamilton’s near Highland Memory Gardens, with burial to follow at Highland Memory Gardens. The family will greet friends from 12:00 p.m. until 2:00 p.m. service time at the funeral home.
