The Life of MADONNA B LOVELACE

Madonna Lovelace, 92, passed away Monday, July 10, 2017, in Columbia Cottage, Wyomissing.

Born in Chester, Mont., Madonna attended a one room schoolhouse.

Madonna and her five siblings were raised by homesteaders on a ranch in Montana.

She moved to Oakland, Calif., where she met her first husband, Houston, and married six months later. They moved to Alabama, where they had three daughters, then to Michigan where their last daughter was born. From there, they moved to New Jersey, then to Pennsylvania in 1967, which was her home for the last 50 years.

She was a parishioner of St. Ignatius R.C. Church, for 50 years, where she was a member of the seniors group. She was also a member of Green Valley Country Club, several bridge clubs and participated in bowling and golf leagues over the years. Madonna traveled all over the world. She was always game for adventure and spontaneity.

She was predeceased by two husbands, Houston Murfee Lovelace and Vincent Addesso.

Madonna is survived by four daughters: Jeannette

Lovelace, Reading; Kathleen Lovelace, Wyomissing; Sherry Riegel, West Reading; and Lisa Lovelace, married to Richard Troxell, Coatesville; one sister, Bernice Skierka, 97 years old, Montana; nine grandchildren: Jessa D'Achille; Mica D'Achille; Sara Kate Frye, married to Tim Frye; Leslie Riegel; Betsy Gomez, married to Nevin Gomez; Wilder Troxell; Shane Troxell; Bryan Lovelace; and Nicholas Lovelace. One great-grandchild, Ivy Frye, and a multitude of nieces and nephews also survive her.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Monday, July 17, 2017, at 11 a.m. in St. Ignatius Loyola R.C. Church, 2810 St. Albans Dr., Reading, PA 19608. Burial will follow in Gethsemane Cemetery. Friends may call from 10 a.m. to 11 a.m. in the church prior to the Mass.
