The Life of DEBORAH A. HIERL

Deborah A. Hierl, 48, of Wyomissing Hills, passed away April 21, 2017, of natural causes.

She was born on September 6th in Phoenixville Hospital, the daughter of Lynn and Evelyn Leonard.

After graduating from Pinebrook Junior College and

receiving her certification at Lehigh Valley Hospital, she found her passion working as an O.R. technician assisting with the birth of countless children in the Reading Hospital Delivery Room. She also loved working with kindergarten children at Wyomissing Hills Elementary Center as a

volunteer.

Deb was an 11-year cancer survivor who had the brightest smile and loved being around people despite the adversity she faced. She loved to sing, especially in the company of friends and most likely with a Captain and Coke in hand.

Addition to her parents, Deb is survived by her husband, Frederick Hierl; their two children, Kyra and Trevor; as well as her siblings: Samuel Leonard and his spouse, Becky; Evelyn Frederick and her spouse, Steve; Daniel Leonard and his spouse, Margaret; and Nancy VanDruff and her spouse, Sean. She is also survived by ten nieces, four

nephews and one great-niece.

A Memorial Service will be Tuesday at 11 a.m. in Edward J. Kuhn Funeral Home Inc., 739 Penn Ave., West Reading. Burial will be private at the convenience of the family. Friends may call Tuesday from 10 to 11 a.m. in the funeral home.
