The Life of ANNELIESE TUNNHOFF

Anneliese Tunnhoff, 96, formerly of

Wyomissing, passed away September 19, 2017, in the Sacred Heart Villa. She was the beloved wife of the late Paul Tunnhoff, who died June 9, 2004.

Born in Kassel, Germany, she was the daughter of the late Konrad and Agnes (Schick) Maurer.

Anneliese was a member of St. Ignatius of Loyola Roman Catholic Church, Whitfield.

Anneliese enjoyed spending her time doing volunteer work. She won awards for her volunteering and spent her time at establishments like Sacred Heart Villa, Berks Heim and Good Shepherd Home. She was talented in needlepoint and loved crocheting, knitting, and embroidery. She also loved to dance.

She is survived by her five children: Ruth E. Scott,

Wyomissing; Inge A., wife of Raymond Lindner, Zephyrhills, Fla.; Jutta H., wife of Thomas Kirkwood, Chambersburg; Barbara, wife of Lee Jones, Riley, Kan.; and Rita A. Tunnhoff, Good Shepherd Home, Allentown; and one niece, Ilona Schmitt, Germany. She is also survived by her eight grandchildren, thirteen great-grandchildren and five great-great-grandchildren.

In addition to her husband, she was predeceased by her grandson, Jeffrey Scott and son-in-law, David Scott.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Saturday, September 23, 2017, at 10 a.m. in Sacred Heart Villa, 51 Seminary Ave, Reading, PA 19605.

Entombment will follow at Gethsemane Mausoleum, Reading.

In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made in memory of Anneliese to Good Shepherd Home, 601 St. John St.,

Allentown, PA 18103.
