The Life of DOROTHY M VALENTINO

Dorothy "Dottie" M. Valentino, 86, of

Colony Park, passed away peacefully on

November 13, 2017, at the Reading Hospital.

Her beloved husband, Frank J. Valentino, died on September 8, 2004. Dorothy was predeceased by her loving daughter,

Deborah A. Valentino, on February 19, 2001.

Born in Lehighton, she was a daughter of the late Andrew and Lucille (Siedlarz) Maholick, and a 1953 graduate of Lehighton High School.

Dorothy worked for many years at

Western Electric and later assisted children with special needs; however, her most

important role was that of wife, mother and grandmother.

Dottie had a passion for helping others and was an avid lover of life. She enjoyed cooking, baking, gardening,

golfing, yoga, playing bridge and spending time with family, friends and her grandchildren. She was a devoted member of St. Ignatius Loyola Roman Catholic Church.

She is survived by her loving daughter, Lori A. Valentino, and her precious grandchildren, Andrew Smith and Scott Smith. Numerous nieces and nephews also survive her.

Dorothy was predeceased by seven brothers and two

sisters.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Saturday, November 18, 2017, at 11 a.m. at St. Ignatius Church, 2600 St. Alban's Drive, Sinking Spring, PA 19608. Burial will be private at the convenience of the family.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Valentino Healing Scholarship Fund, 1121 Wisteria Drive, Malvern, PA 19355, to assist those struggling with the cost of treatment for mental illness and addiction. Online
